Every moment is a learning moment. I love learning. Much of what I do in my art is learning. Currently, I’m exploring what it means for me to be a Chinese American woman in America. The exoticism, fetishism, the model minority, the stereotypes… my relationship with my parents, my relationships with others… my triggers, my prejudices, my beef.

My cliched goal is to live contently wherever life takes me, earn enough money to make art all the time, and have a bunch of comic books and novels at hand, music in my ears (and at my hands), and good food in my tummy. 

My main goal is to become a children’s book illustrator, focusing on social justice issues such as the intersections of racism, sexism, classism, etc.
